Homelessness is a Global Crisis That Demands Action
In January 2024, more than 771,000 people in the United States were homeless on a single night. That’s 23 out of every 10,000 Americans. Among them were 150,000 children, a devastating 33% increase from the year before.
Meanwhile, in Europe, over 1.3 million people were homeless as of December 2024. Beyond those visible in shelters or on the streets, many more remain hidden in precarious situations: couch-surfing or squeezed into unsafe, overcrowded housing.
Together, these numbers reveal a global emergency. But they also make one thing clear: with compassion, resources, and action, homelessness is solvable!
